Visitors to the Pile

Thankyou so much for this opportunity to visit your compost pile! It was a beautiful experience I will remember for always. It is not often that I get to see such diversity of plant and wildlife. Around here, all I see are perfect lawns with flowers all lined up in perfect rows, but your compost pile felt real with its wild yet wondrous plants. Walking through your compost pile made me feel as if I was in some fantasy novel's jungle. It was unbelievable! It was an an advanture! With chickens, spiders, cactus, birds and cats roaming around - I never knew what to expect.
When I saw what those evil bull dozer men did to your garden I was heartbroken. I'm so sorry it happened and I wish there was something I could've done! The thought of losing all that hard work makes me feel awful! I don't understand how people can be so uncaring, and heartless to even attempt to destroy a part of nature that is so incredibly beautiful.
Once again I thank you for giving me and my classmates this opportunity! Simply walking through the tangled plants was a calming and amazing experience that has increased my appreciation for what nature has to offer.
Sincerely,
Mona Kamal

Dear Tim,
I enjoyed walking around in your "rain forest". It was quite interesting walking on soil made from decomposted materials. This was an unbelievable experience, and I would never had imaged a house looking like yours. This experience made me realize why I study biology and the way life works. I heard you are a great character, and I hope I can meet you one day [again]. I really feel sorry for you because the main compost pile was taken down. I wish I could have visited your host before this happened. My visit to your house made my day. This will be one of the most memorable experiences in my life.
Thankyou,
Max Matsumoto

Dear Tim,
I'd like to start things off with a huge Thankyou for opening up your property for our field trip use. I really enjoyed the diversity of organisms that I saw on the trip - especially the chickens!. What really appealed to me was the truck!!! Amazing . . . simply amazing.
I can see how much hurt you may feel with the piece of land bulldozed, but I'd still like to wish you good luck with the land you are currently working with - I see a beautiful progress. Just think of it this way: "if you can't develop sideways, go upwards!!" I'd really like to see your house being the tallest on the street!
Best of luck,
Derrick Hong

Dear Tim,
Thankyou for letting us come and visit your compost pile. I did not know what to expect, but when I got there, I felt like it was a new world. The cactii were a little frightening, but everything was so beautiful. The aroma the flowers gave was amazing, and made me feel like I was in a tropical rain forest, and the bulbs of the flowers were so huge. It's amazing that our trash and waste can help so many things grow, and it shows how we need to do more of this throughout the world. Thankyou so much for giving me the opportunity to see such an amazing site, it was definitely well worth the trip. It is also astounding to see how the dirt and soil was able to rise and fill those cars. I never would have imagined that your compost pile did not smell, but luckily it did not. It was an amazing experience to be able to see this first hand, and I thankyou so ver much for giving me the opportunity to come to your home and see what a magnificant thing you have done. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Johnson
