Hi Tim!
I'm so sorry to hear about the news befalling the pile.
The good that you're doing stretches mile upon mile!
Saving the earth through constant reuse
teaching man, woman and child to stop this terrible abuse!
The trees, shrubs and worms all thrive under your care,
fruit trees abundant no longer are bare!
Your legacy has started, the flowers will continue to bloom,
rejoicing from great willows to tiny mushroom.

Hi Tim! I live in Seattle now. I've tried to keep up as much as possible about news of the pile and you have been in my thoughts often! Especially now that I'm starting my own composting and garden projects here. Wow -- you wouldn't believe how quickly things grow in Seattle! The almost constant, misty rain really nurtures gardens and the temperature is, well, pretty temperate, with occassional bursts of sunlight! Folks up here are much more into protecting Mother Earth than down in LA...they share your vision and put it into action!!! So many gardens up here and almost everyone is into composting and reuse, even the City supports and encourages it. All this reassures what I had already known -- you are ahead of your time! Just a matter of time before people wake up to your vision, which is being implemented in so many other places.
